The National Justice Project is working to tackle discrimination in healthcare provided to refugees and asylum seekers.Â
We are supporting our courageous clients in seeking justice for the neglect and harm our government allowed to happen for so many years in offshore detention.
The United Nations Human Rights Committee has reaffirmed that the Australian Government has a duty of care for children and families in offshore detention on Nauru and that successive governments have been in serious breach of international conventions and treaties. A recent Human Rights Watch World Report also described Australia’s treatment of asylum seekers as diabolical.
The horrifically poor treatment provided in Australia’s immigration detention continues to attract international scrutiny for human rights violations. I am proud of our work fighting for refugee rights and to secure justice for the asylum seeker families who suffered harm and neglect.

We are holding the government to account on the alarming conditions in offshore detention. Through our court action we are securing justice for refugee families who suffered physical and psychological harm while held in offshore detention.
With your support, we can help families secure justice and accountability while continuing to fight for systemic change. Please make a generous donation today to help our legal action and advocacy for health justice.
