Day 7 of 10 Days to Donate in December

Most of our refugee clients are still living in limbo, not being able to plan even seven months ahead as they need to apply for temporary bridging visas every six months. For those with lingering health issues and who can’t work, this type of visa also means they can’t study and they can’t access social supports like Centrelink.

Many of the National Justice Project’s clients still have ongoing mental and physical health challenges and this rolling uncertainty in their lives only serves to compound their pain. Newly published research shows offshore detention makes it 20 times more likely asylum seekers will suffer PTSD and we understand this more than most.

We hope to secure some sense of justice for our clients in the 40 plus cases we still have before the court.

We need your help to finish the fight.

Join us over 10 Days to Donate in December in the lead up to Human Rights Day on December 10.
