Graphic of gavel and book with title '6 years fighting in court'

Day 6 of 10 Days to Donate in December

The National Justice Project has been fighting for six years to secure justice for the refugee families who suffered physical and psychological harm while held in offshore detention.

The recent settlements of our two test cases are just the start.  We have 40 more cases to try to secure justice for our clients and deter the government from inflicting abuse and neglect on refugees in detention.

The court proceedings were delayed by the Commonwealth Government as it challenged the Federal Court’s jurisdiction to even hear the cases. We’ve been working tirelessly to progress these cases through evidentiary and discovery processes to prepare for mediation and trial.

We need your help to finish the fight

Every dollar donated today will be doubled! With thanks to one of our generous supporters, all donations up to $6,000 will be matched, doubling the impact!

Join us over 10 Days to Donate in December in the lead up to Human Rights Day on December 10.
