Graphic of a court building with title' 2 test cases for poor treatment'

Day 2 of 10 Days to Donate in December

In two test cases before the Federal Court, the National Justice Project helped secure justice for two refugee families over the appalling level of care provided to them in offshore detention.

The court heard claims of denial of medical care, inadequate treatment for children with diagnosed mental health disorders and failures to protect them from unreasonable risks of harm. In once case a father and son were kept apart for more than 18 months with this unnecessary and delayed reunification adding to the child’s psychological harm and manifestation of his symptoms.

We still have 40 more cases before the court with similar stories of harm and neglect.

We need your help to finish the fight.

Help support this vital work and make a donation during our 10 Days to Donate in December in the lead up to Human Rights Day on December 10.
